Centre for Vocational Education and Workforce Development (An ISO 9001 - 2008 Certified Company) started in 1988 to help with the development of sustainable institutions that provided vocational and technical skills training, especially for early school dropouts.

Its clients were government and non-government organization interested in short-term training. The centre provided a variety of services.

Our Vision


To build a network of Government Agencies, NGOs, Educational Institutions and Business enterprises, that promote employment and enables individuals become self sufficient citizens, thereby improving the quality of life for themselves and their communities Youth, particularly from disadvantaged and marginalized communities are employed and developed into self sufficient and responsible citizens

1990 - Centre for Vocational Education was founded to provide short-term vocational and technical skills training to school dropouts and the entry-level workforce.



1992 - CVE became a part of the JMA Educational Trust. CVE and a consortium of 40 US Community Colleges received a five year $750,000 USAID grant to strengthen vocational & technical education in India.

1997 - CVE started working with the corporate sector to continue its work on workforce development. This ensured sustainability and continuous funding for its training programs and other projects.


2007 - CVE & WD became a private limited company and continued its workforce development services by designing and conducting assessment centres for recruitment and customized training programmes.




Presently, the Centre continues to assist many NGOs, Corporate and Government departments across the country; strengthening their administrative capability and building their capacity to deliver quality short-term training, Curriculum design and implementation of vocational skills building and Employability development training programmes in the organized and unorganized sector.

2. Director, M.C. Jain Industrial Training Centre (1986 – 2000)

3. Director, the Jain Institute of Management, Chennai (1986 – 1996).

4. Principal, Madras Community College. (1996-1998)



A Fulbright Scholar, he was India Director for the USAID project on Vocational and Technical Education (1992 – 1997) He was a Visiting Scholar to several colleges in the US. He has received many awards in India and abroad for his work in vocational training and workforce development.


Prof. Adrian has been a consultant to several multinational / national companies on human performance improvement for the last 10 years. He is also a consultant to many non-profit organizations spread all over India. He serves on the board of several Private and Public Institutions.


He has traveled widely in the US, Europe, North Africa, South East Asia and Australia. He has addressed / presented papers at national and international conferences in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Hawaii, San Francisco, Washington D.C. and Chicago on human capacity development.
